Hinger Private Collection Now Available

A rare opportunity to own memorabilia and personal instruments collected and played by Fred D Hinger, famous percussionist/timpanist. This collection also includes unique instruments and protoypes developed for the Hinger Touch Tone Corporation.
This is a cool set of seven wooden whistles that come from the 1930's drummer's trap case. Sets of wooden whistles like these were often used as sound effects by drummers accompanying silent movies or vaudeville acts. These whistles look like they came from a small pipe organ or calliope. Each has a mouthpiece and two flutes. They range in size from 6"to 20". The labeled notes from smallest to largest are E, E, C, B, G, E, C. The stops are moveable to the pitches can be changed slightly. All of the whistles produce a clear tone. This is a great set of whistles that look great on a trap table and provide a ton of sound effect options.
