This is a rare Hinger bass drum mallet with heavy aluminum shaft and two different mallet heads. This mallet has a heavy, 1" diameter aluminum shaft with a head on each end. The larger head is the "soft" side while the smaller head on the reverse end provides a harder sound. Both ends have enough weight behind them to produce a full, articulate sound on the drum. The shaft has a clear, blank ink Hinger stamp. Both of the heads are in very good condition with moderate wear to the recovered, fake fur heads and still have plenty of playable life left. This Hinger bass drum mallet is a very versatile, general purpose mallet that will make a nice addition to any percussionist's mallet case.
