This is an original edition set of parts for the "Pilgrim's Chorus", arranged for marimba orchestra by Clair Omar Musser. The Pilgrim's Chorus is from Wagner's opera "Tannhauser". This version, arranged by Musser and published by Forster in 1941, includes 5 separate parts for marimbas 1 - 5. Each part is contained within its own booklet, complete with cover page. All of the parts are included and each is in excellent condition. There is one small tear on the marimba 5 part that has been repaired. Musser's marimba orchestra from the late 1930's was famous for its world tour using King George model Deagan marimbas. The Forster arrangements are almost certainly part of the repertoire that Musser arranged for the tour. It is exciting to see this original edition that is one of twelve offered by Forster along with solos and master works, as shown in the attached Forster catalog. This set of parts will make an exciting addition to any percussion music library.
