This is a Ludwig Super Classic model snare drum in beautiful white marine pearl wrap. Its 3-ply shell is 5 1/2” x 14” with a date stamp of February 12, 1963 and a pre-serial Ludwig keystone badge. All of the nickel hardware is in excellent overall consition including 8 bowtie lugs, red felt baseball bat muffler and nickel over brass rims. There is one extra hole from a non-original strainer that was mounted on the drum and one ding in the shell behind the strainer both the extra hole and ding in the pearl covering have been patched so they are hardly noticeable. These are great sounding, iconic drums from the late 50's through the early 60's that is a must have for a period Ludwig outfit.
