This is a super rare Ludwig Trap Table console set up complete with temple blocks and two Chinese tom toms. As shown in the attached 1928 catalog, this trap table and free standing console is designed to fit over up to a 28" bass drum. It gives the player an infinite number of options for mounting traps and cymbals as shown in the attached picture showing our 1928 Ludwig Avalon Pearl drum outfit. The stand comes complete with a felt covered, oversized 26" x 12 1/2", table attached to legs at both ends which allows the table to swivel into any position desired. The table top rail has extra holes on the sides for additional 3/8" mounting posts. Each of the legs has a threaded top to attach a cymbal arm or gong stand. We have included a custom made gong ring to go along with the two original cymbal arms for this purpose. There are two adjustable tom tom rings that can be attached anywhere on the stand legs for easily mounting Chinese tom toms. The rings are in two different sizes to accommodate small and medium sized toms. This unit also comes complete with a Ludwig engraved temple block rail that divides into two pieces for ease of packing. The rail attaches to the table with two "Z" arms that have cymbal attachments on the top. The five red graduated temple blocks are in perfect shape and sound great. The two red Chinese tom toms that are included have beautiful painted heads on both sides. The small tom tom is 10" in size while the larger drum is 12". They make a nice tuned pair. All of the chrome plated hardware on the console is original right down to the thumb screws. The cast supports and feet are also in perfect condition. There is no rust of stripped out threads on any of the pieces. All together, this console set is a rare opportunity to add something truly special to any vintage outfit from the 1920's or 1930's.
